Been Thinking...

... that making resolutions in January is a baaaad idea. Why decide to change your behavior/habits/life when you're coming off a holiday high and heading straight into the winter blues? If you're like me this is the time of year when most, if not all, motivation to get things done seriously starts to wane. I'm definitely at my laziest in January and February. It is for this reason that I would like to propose a change in policy. Let's make resolutions in the springtime. It's a good time, right? The earth is renewing and awakening from it's winter's sleep. Animals are birthing the next generation. I'm getting my motivation back. Spring seems a far more appropriate time to vow to make a new start.

With that said, here are my Spring Resolutions:
1. To be more positive (i believe i mentioned the need for this in a previous post)
2. To follow through with my "good" ideas. I think up a great many good things to do, for other people and in general, but I rarely follow through. --I'd probably be a horrible golfer. Isn't that where you need a good follow through? Am I mixing my sports again?
3. To take more pictures. I've recently realized the value of pictures because I love seeing pics of my husband as a kid and of his father, whom I've never met. Pictures and videos give you a connection to people and a small look into who they are as a person.
4. To put down a treat if the taste is not worth the calories. For some of you this may seem simple, but many is the time I've finished a fluffy treat simply because I started it, NOT because it was worth the caloric intake.

I probably won't keep you updated on how I do with these resolutions, because, let's be honest, do you really care? Do I really care to let you know? Probably not on both counts.
