on my mind.

* the saying "kicking ass and taking names". what is that about? why are you taking names? are you taking the names of those whose derrieres you so unthoughtfully kicked and if so, why? are you going to take a poll on how satisfied they are with said beating--what you could improve, perhaps? OR are you taking names of those who liked your work and would also like to receive a kicking in the back of their behind? just wondering.

* and while we're on sayings--what about "that's nothing to shake a stick at". oh. okay. because i was seriously thinking about finding a stick to shake at it...

* i used to be a gal of confidence (mostly, anyway) but since having kids all of that has gone out the window. i now question everything i say and do, no matter what the situation. i leave social outings replaying what was said and wondering if everyone else thinks i'm the dork i sound like in my replays.

* woke up to a spider crawling on me last night. blech.

* wish the pregnancy pounds would come off faster. i'm not so fond of the "mommy" body i've created through carrying children for 9 months at a time. i never used to have a belly. hips and thighs, yes, a belly no. now i have all three (oh, and a butt. i try to forget about that part of my anatomy, though, and am grateful it's behind me--wah wah).

I don't understand the saying "They threw me under the bus." or "Are you totally going to throw me under the bus?" What bus?! Why would people do that in the first place or even make references to being thrown under a bus? I guess that is the new term for ratting somebody out, or.... sacrificing them to an imaginary bus. I guess somebody can throw somebody under a bus and then kick some ass and take names all in one felt swoop.

I want to comment, but have nothing to say to match the wit of your post.
