i'd like someone to nominate me for What Not to Wear. i'd really like some new clothes and i do feel that since i'm no longer in the professional field i've become rather dowdy. i'm totally willing to be made fun of by stacey and clinton for $5000 and shopping in nyc. i don't care who does it, but please do. my only request? that you "suggest" i straighten my closet before you let a camera crew in there.
little s. still has thrush which means she's had it for 11? weeks. any home remedies i can try since diflucan seems to not be working?

Gentian Violet. You get it at herbal stores (I think GNC has it). Careful, though. It dyes EVERYTHING purple. Also, if you're breast feeding, you've gotta paint your nipples with it too, so you don't just keep giving it back to the kid. I've heard you can do the same thing with Nystatin (is that what the prescription is called??). Anyway, my niece had a raging case of thrush that would just not die, and this is what finally did it. You just swab it around in their mouths, on your nipples, and any binkies.
I was just looking at your post again, and, I'm sure you've tried it, but we never did the diflucan with Walker (though maybe that would have done the trick with him), but rather the dr. gave him Nystatin. And, like the GV, you paint yourself with it, too, to avoid giving the thrush back to the bambina. Anyway...
thanks, Kell. i'll try the gentian violet stuff. i'm also trying a special sugar free/yeast free/dairy free eating regimen for a couple weeks. i don't know how i'm gonna live without bread. aaaaaah!
ps- she was on nystatin first and when it didn't work we moved to diflucan---which she's been on 3? times.
I'm totally with you on the What Not to Wear nomination. The pair of us could make a great "sisters' rescue" episode, don'tcha think?

I went straight away to the tlc website to be the first to nominate you, but alas being out of state and much more in e-contact with you, I could not complete all the questions. Maybe if someone can help me who sees you "in-person" more, I can get my nomination completed! And I would straighten up your closet now, I am sure the show doesn't give much notice for the digging through the closet clip, they want it to look bad :)
